Due to its location near the Scottish boarder, the castle has a long and violent history. It is most famous prisoner was Mary Queen of Scots in 1568. During construction in the 1830s, a women’s skeleton was discovered bricked up in the walls, her identity is still a mystery but she is believed to still wander the grounds. 

 

Chester

With over 2,000 years of rich history that includes hundreds of Ghost sighting, Chester claims to be amongst one of the most haunted cities in all of Britain.
